"At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. His lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. His eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers his body and the deep wrinkles on his skin, which he'll sport until he adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside his belly, his pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily." (According to Baby Center.)
I finally have a doctor's appointment this week!!! I'll be glad to check in with the doc and hear the baby's sweet heartbeat.
I don't really know when the whole 'nesting' thing is supposed to happen, but lately I have been looking around the house and wanting to change/organize/clean/redo everything! However, with my big belly and easily tired self, I feel pretty helpless in that area! Travis sure has been working hard, though!!! :) Baby Sam's room is really coming along!!! Now we are onto the Craigslist portion of the transition. Brown leather couch, anyone? ;)
I love you, Sam! Can't wait to hug!! Love, GJ
ReplyDeletehaha! babies r us :) i had found it online several places but BRU definitely had it the cheapest. it's called "mad in plaid" by my baby sam.
ReplyDeleteJust make sure Trav is home if someone's coming by to look at the couch!!! :) I'm sure you would do that anyway. ;)
